 Pressing the  Button during game will enact a time out. Here the player may change the pitcher, or send in a pinch hitter in order to control the flow of the game. If Power Up is selected here, it is possible to equip the batter with a Power Bat, which will allow long hits to occur more frequently. However, there are a limited number of times which Power Bats may be used, so the player should wait for the best opportunity in which to use them.
In PENNANT RACE, the player will obtain 10 Power Bats after each match has completed.
