Each eggshell is made up of an upper half and a lower half. If an upper half lands on one of Mario’s trays or on one of the characters above them, it will vanish. A lower half, however, will remain on the tray. If a lower half lands on top of another lower half, both pieces will disappear.

When Eggs Are Formed...

If an eggshell’s upper half lands on top of a lower half, a Yoshi will hatch from the resulting egg. The more Yoshis you hatch, the higher your score will go. If you sandwich characters between an upper and lower shell half, you’ll get extra points and a special bonus!
