If you get attacked by an enemy or fall into a river or lava, you will lose one life. If you get stuck, press  to reset the room—this will cost you one life.
When you run out of lives, you are taken to the game-over screen. Write down the password displayed on this screen; you can use it to restart your game from that room even after leaving the game enitrely. To exit this screen and return to the title screen, press  . You can then choose to start a new game (START) or continue your game (CONTINUE) by using  and to confirm.
