Some areas display power marks in the PW section of the screen. This will flash once you have collected the required amount of Heart Framers. The required amount changes from room to room.

Bridge (Power)	Press or while facing water or lava to build a bridge.
One-Way Pass (Power)	Press or while facing an arrow to change its direction.
Hammer (Power)	Press or while facing a rock to break it.
