There are two ways to defeat Pookas and Fygars.  Inflate them with the pump and blow them up
When your harpoon hits an enemy, you can start to inflate him. Press and hold down  or
 to inflate
and blow up that enemy.
Note: If you press or
rapidly while moving
toward the enemy, you can inflate him faster.
Crush them with rocks
By burrowing under rocks, you can weaken the ground beneath them and cause them to fall. Any enemies crushed by a rock will be defeated, but be careful: rocks can crush you, too!
