The game is constructed of a total of eight stages, with each stage composed of portions both inside your vehicle (side view) and outside your vehicle (overhead view).
In the side view, you control the vehicle, and in the overhead view, you control Jason to defeat enemies. At the entrance to the overhead view, press  to get out of the armored vehicle, then press down on  in front of the entrance.
Defeat the stage boss hidden in the depths of the overhead view, obtain the option item that will power up your vehicle, and proceed to the next stage. Press down on at the entrances to other stages.
When you take damage from an enemy, the Power energy gauge goes down, and when it gets to zero, you lose one life. When all three lives are gone, the game is over.
