On the title screen, press or , then select an option and press . To start a new game, choose START. To continue from a previous game, select PASS WORD.
After getting the crystal, you will be able to get a password at any time by opening the sub-screen and selecting the crystal.

To enter a password, use to highlight a space on the board and to highlight the gem you want to insert, then press to insert the gem. To remove an inserted gem, press . When you are finished, press , or highlight END and press , to continue.

Note: If you continue from a password, you will begin with 10 life points, regardless of your previous amount. If you have any completely full Life Containers, they will remain filled when you continue.
