	Defeat Enemies			Attack enemies or destroy blocks by standing next to them and pressing .



	Open Your Cape			Dash until Mario extends his arms and then jump, holding and . If you press or wait until Mario reaches the peak of his leap, he will open his cape and start gliding through the air.



	Ascend and Descend			Press the in the direction you are flying to descend, and in the opposite direction to ascend.



	Descend Slowly			Release to descend slowly in flight, and press to ascend slowly.



	Fast Press			Land on enemies while flying to defeat them.



	Quick Dive			Press and hold the in the direction you are flying to dive quickly and defeat any enemies you land on.


	Dash			Hold down while moving with to dash.



	Jump			Press to jump. If you dash and jump while Mario is wearing the cape, you can fly. You can’t open your cape, but if you press , you will descend slowly.



	Dismount			Press to Spin Jump off of Yoshi.



	Eat			Press to stick out Yoshi’s tongue and eat fruit or enemies. (Yoshi will automatically eat fruit and enemies in his mouth).



	Spit			Press after eating something hard (like a shell) to spit it out again.



	Spit Fire			After eating a red shell, Yoshi will spit fireballs instead of the shell.



	Throw Sand Clouds			After eating a yellow shell, Yoshi will produce sand clouds whenever he lands that can defeat enemies.



	Fly			When Yoshi eats a blue shell, tap repeatedly to make him fly.


	Defeat Enemies			You can defeat enemies by landing on top of them or by hitting the block they are standing on from below. You can also throw fireballs or kick shells at enemies to defeat them.



	Grab			Press up on to grab ropes and vines, and press to climb up or down.



	Slide			Press down on while standing on a slope to slide down, taking out any enemies in your way.



	Toss Upwards			Hold an object and press up on before releasing to throw it straight upwards.



	Set Down			Hold an object and press down on before releasing to set it down.



	Enter a Pipe			Stand on top of an upward-opening pipe and press down on to enter the pipe.



	Enter a Door			Stand in front of a door and press up on to enter.



	Swim while Holding			While underwater, hold down and press to swim in that direction while holding something.



	Climb a Wall			Dash at a triangle block to run up a vertical wall.



	Jumping with Yoshi			When you run towards a triangle block while riding Yoshi, if you jump and hold down you can jump really far.



	Grab a Fence			When you see a wire fence, jump up and press up on to grab hold of it.



	Punch			While hanging on a fence, press to punch and defeat enemies on the other side.



	Revolving Door			When you see a revolving door on a wire fence, you can climb over it and punch it to flip yourself to the other side.



	Defeat an Enemy On the Fence			To defeat an enemy hanging on a fence, hit it from above.
