If you break an Animal Container, an animal friend that you can ride will appear. You can also become the animal on an Animal Barrel by jumping inside it.

Pull Close / Release	Press and hold / Release .
Suck Water	Press or and down on , or just jump into the water!
Spray Water	Press either or while you have water in your Water Gauge.

Note: The Water Gauge will increase as you suck water up and decrease one level each time you spray.

Dash	Press right or left while pressing .
Super Dash	Press and hold and release.

Launch an Egg	Press .
Flap Wings	Press .

Note: There is also a purple Squawks who does not shoot eggs, but can pick up and drop barrels with .

Attack with Web	Press .
Jump	Press . However, you cannot attack by jumping on enemies.
Create a Walkway	Press to release a web and press again.

Get Items Above	Parry will fly a certain height above Dixie/Kiddy and reach items above. He will leave if he gets hit by an enemy.
