Press or to skip the intro sequence and go to the title screen. Press or on the title screen to enter the File Selection screen. If you’re playing for the first time, select NEW GAME. If you have save data, select the file with and press or to continue playing.

Note: If you press or on the File Selection screen, you can switch between stereo and mono sound.

Entering a File Name

If you select New Game, you will go to the Name Input screen. Select letters with and press to confirm. You can erase one letter at a time with . When you have entered the file name, select DONE.

Note: Your entered name identifies the file only. Mario’s name cannot be changed.
