Press ⇩ or to pick up items or weapons. Some items can be picked up simply by touching them.

Plasma Shield	This shield will protect you from enemy hits for a short time.
Grenades (Han only)	Throw these using to engulf enemies in a powerful explosion.
Thermal Detonator	Trigger this by pressing before the name disappears from the screen to vaporise all on-screen enemies!
Health	These come in small and large sizes. Pick them up to restore your health.
Force Orb (Luke only)	Pick up one of these to partially restore your Force meter.
Coin	Collecting these can give you extra points. Collect 100 to get an extra life.
Bonus	Pick this up to double the points you collect for a short time.
Health Sword	This will increase the length of your health bar.
Extra Life	Get an extra life.
Speed Boost	Give your hero a temporary boost in speed.
Attack Shield	This shield will destroy any enemy that it touches.
R2-D2	If you lose a life, you will continue where you last picked up an R2-D2.
Blaster Power	Pick this up to upgrade your blaster (see below).

You can power up your blaster by picking up the Blaster item. Your blaster will be upgraded in a certain order, as given below. Once you get a new blaster upgrade, you will lose your previous blaster type. If your hero dies, you will lose your blaster upgrade and continue with the laser blaster.

Laser Blaster	The basic blaster type.
Flame Blaster	Shoot short bursts of flame to torch your opponents.
Proton Seeker	Just as the name says, this weapon will seek and destroy your enemies.
Rapid Ion Gun	Fire a powerful, rapid ion blast that bounces off walls.
Plasma Wave Blaster	The most powerful blaster. This plasma wave annihilates almost anything in its path.

To select a Force power, press to scroll through them, then press to activate or deactivate the selected one.

Saber	Throw your Lightsaber and control it as it spins through the air.
Deflect	Skilfully wield your Lightsaber to deflect enemy shots.
Freeze	Freeze all enemies on screen.
Vanish	Become invisible. Enemy attacks will not harm you while you are in this state.
Heal	Restore some of your health.
