Your readied weapon will be displayed in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Press to switch weapons. Remember that a weapon may work better on one type of monster than it does on another. Next to the weapon is a number which shows how many uses of that weapon you have remaining. When you run out of shots, the weapon will be dropped from your inventory.

Crossbow	Fires a fast single shot with a light damage ratio. You have unlimited shots with the crossbow.
Machine Gun	Fires multiple shots that can inflict great damage on any ghoul in its path.
Homing PlasmaGun	Shoots balls of plasma that follow their target until...SPLORGGCH!!! The perfect weapon for disabling unrelenting spirit bosses.
Laser Gun	Fires a lightning-fast dose of laser that can blast an apparition into molecules in seconds flat.
Lobbing SmashGun	Bazooka-like gun that shoots bowling-ball projectiles in small arcs. Excellent heavy-damage weapon against ghastly level bosses.

Scroll through items by pressing or . Some items help you, some hinder you, and some are unpredictable!

Keys	You need them to open doors.
Red Potion	Transform into the Grim Reaper. While in this form, you’re indestructible. You can also break through walls with cracks, break open locked doors, and float across lava. Note that you cannot use any items while in this form.
Blue Potion	Become indestructible for a short amount of time. Damage enemies just by touching them!
Gold Potion	Fully restores your Life Bar.
Green Potion	This is poison and using it will only cause you damage...so don’t!
Random Potion	There is no way to know what effect the potion will have. Its effect could be the same as any of the other potions.
First Aid Kit	Use this wisely as it restores your Life Bar to full force.
Chicken	Restores one and a half bars of your Life.
Money Bag	Adds points to your score.
1UP	This will add another life to your count.
