 You start the game with 3 Lives and 5 Arrow-Bombs. If you are hit by an enemy shot, you will lose a Life, and the number of Arrow-Bombs in your possession will be reset to 5. If you lose all your Lives, the game will be over, and your score will be displayed.
Continuing Play:
The game has no continues. However, with two players, if one player loses all his/her Lives, they can re-join by pressing  or  ( or  for Classic Controller), so long as the other player is still in play.
Note: You may not use this method to re-join your partner after the second round and thereafter.
