Action: To enter a doorway, pick up an item, read a signpost, talk to villagers or purchase goods at a store, stand immediately in front and press  up.
Magic Attack: Press  ( for Classic Controller) with left or right depending on the spell.
Swim: In water, press to swim in any direction. You will additionally need to press  ( for Classic Controller) repeatedly to swim upwards.
Defence: If you have a Spear or Trident equipped, press up and  ( for Classic Controller) to fend off attacks.
