Getting Started

Press or on the title screen to access the mode-select screen. Select a mode with and press to confirm.
GP Race Choose from five unique racing cups and compete to earn the most points. Choose an entry class (difficulty) and which cup you want to attempt, then select the machine you want to use. If you retire five or more machines in a race, you'll earn a spare machine and get a boost to your Energy Meter.
Time Attack Race alone to set the best time.
Death Race Race to be the last driver standing!
VS Battle Race against up to three other players.
Practice Practice running a GP Race.
Options Change various settings or erase save data.

About the Options Settings
VS COM (2-Player and 3-Player)
If you turn this on in a 2- or 3-player VS Battle, computer players will fill in for the remaining players.

VS Slot
If you turn this On and are retired from a VS Battle race, a slot game will appear and let you damage one of your opponents.

The slot machine will appear after you have retired. Spin the drum with and press three times to stop each slot. If you can match all three pictures, your opponent's Energy Meter will drop.

VS Handicap
If you set a handicap, less-skilled players will have an advantage.
During multiplayer games, each player will need a controller compatible with the Virtual Console. For more information, check the Wii Operations Manual.
