Press or on the title screen to access the mode select screen. Select a mode with and press or to confirm.
If you want to learn Yoshi’s moves, head to PRACTICE first.

STORY MODE	Play along with a story. The story has six pages, each containing up to four courses. Choose a course and a Yoshi to get started. Note: The number of courses available on the next page depends on how many Special Hearts you have found.
TRIAL MODE	Play courses you have cleared in Story Mode. While playing, you can press and on the pause screen to return to the course select screen.
OPTIONS	Configure settings and erase data here.
PRACTICE	Take a spin through the practice course where you can see explanations for controlling Yoshi and using items. Press at any time to return to the mode select screen.
