In this mode, you play tennis on a topsy-turvy court. If you hit an item box on the court with the ball, you get an item that you can use by pressing . You can only hold one item at a time.

Red Shell	Homes in on your opponent and when it hits, causes them to be temporarily unable to move.
Green Shell	Three shells will shoot out in a straight line in three different directions, and if one hits your opponent, they will be temporarily unable to move.
Banana	Attach this to the ball and let it bounce to drop a banana peel. When stepped on, it will cause your opponent to slip.
Mushroom	Gives you a temporary speed boost.
Star	Makes your shots more powerful for a short time.
Lightning	Temporarily lowers the ability of all other characters, weakening their shots.
