Cross the finish line within the stage time + extra time to successfully clear each SPECIAL STAGE (SS).

Race Complete
Clear all 8 SS within the time limit to complete the race. Your RANK is based on your combined time records.

RETIRE
The stage time is displayed in red digits if you exceed the limit for that stage. The excess time is deducted from your extra time. If your extra time is reduced to 0, it's GAME OVER.
