Braking

There is no brake button in Mach Rider. Learn to shift down and ease off the accelerator to reduce your speed.

Watch the Course Carefully

Driving on the shoulder will slow your speed down, so drive on the course as much as possible. If you crash into an oil drum on the shoulder, you’ll have to pick up speed from first gear (the slowest speed). Also, when the scenery turns white, it will be easier to slip, so be careful when taking those turns.

Enemy Types

The six different colours of the enemies indicate their strength. The weakest is pink and these enemies will go down with one shot, while the strongest is black, requiring six shots to go down. Check the colours carefully before attacking.

If you touch an enemy when you are going slowly, you will crash.

Obstacles

Certain obstacles will cause you to slip, and others will cause you to crash. Try to avoid them. When you are slipping, you can recover by steering in the opposite direction.

Water Oil Tacks	Cause you to slip.
Rock Oil Drum Bomber Ball	Cause you to crash.

You can shoot oil drums and bomber balls to pieces with your machine gun.
