There are five modes to play in SUPER STREET FIGHTER™ II – THE NEW CHALLENGERS.

SUPER BATTLE	Choose a warrior from one of the 16 available characters and fight your way through the competition.
VERSUS BATTLE	Test your skills against another human opponent.
GROUP BATTLE	Assemble a group of characters and pit them against your opponent’s selected group in this two-player mode. Choose between MATCH PLAY and ELIMINATION bouts.
TOURNAMENT BATTLE	Fight in an eight-player elimination-style tournament. Select the characters to be controlled by human players, and select END. If fewer than eight human players enter the tournament, the remaining slots are filled by computer opponents. Note: Even if you have been eliminated from the tournament, you have to keep watching the remaining matches between computer-controlled characters. Moreover, if you are the only human player and start the fight on the right side of the screen, you have to use the player 2 controller.
TIME CHALLENGE	Select your favourite character and a computer-controlled opponent, then win the fight as fast as possible.
