Defeat all your enemies to win a battle. A victory will give you EXP (experience points), coins, and sometimes even items. If your entire party falls in battle, you will lose half of the coins in your possession and restart from your last save point.

Stand still and defend, minimising enemy attacks. Press to display this option. |

About Abnormal Statuses
Some enemies can inflict status ailments on characters. Common ailments are listed below.

|
|
Sleep |
The character won’t be able to move until the battle ends. Use CureAl or Heal to wake up. Physical attacks will also wake them up. |
|
|
|
Poison |
The character will lose HP as he or she moves around outside battles. Use Antdt, CureAl, CurePsn or Heal to cure them. |
|
|
|
Forgotten Abilities |
The character won’t be able to use their special ability. Use CureAl or Heal to restore their memory. |
|
|
|
Curse |
Reduces a character’s condition to Ill. Use Vtmn, CureAl or Heal to remove the curse. |
|
|
|
Rotting |
If left alone, the character will turn into a zombie. TearDr, CureAl, CurePsn and Heal will cure them. |
|
|
|
Zombie |
Causes the character to attack your allies. After the battle, the character will be unable to fight anymore. TearDr, CureAl and Heal will cure them. |
|
|
|
Inability to Fight |
The character cannot do anything until he or she is cured. LifePl and Renew will cure them. |
