In MarioKart GP and Match Race, you can collect Coins scattered across the race course. The more Coins you collect, the faster your kart goes. If you spin out, hit other karts or go out of bounds, you lose Coins, so be careful! If you have no Coins left and you get hit, you will spin out.

Note: Your kart reaches its maximum speed at 10 Coins, but it never hurts to carry spares, so keep on collecting them!
