Press to display the title screen. Select an option from the title screen using the and confirm with . To start a new game, select START. To configure game settings, select OPTIONS.

In the options menu, adjust gameplay controls by selecting JOYPAD CONFIG. Select MUSIC or SFX to adjust those options and to play back in-game music, select MUSIC TEST. Play the Ektor mini-game by selecting PLAY EKTOR, or select PASSWORD to restore you to a previously played level. Select EXIT to return to the title screen.

When you reach a new world, you will be given a password. The next time you play, you can enter the password by selecting PASSWORD from the options menu and resume play from the first act of that world.
