There are three types of magic: white magic, black magic and wizard magic. White magic is generally curative, while black magic and wizard magic deal damage to enemies. Only white magic can be used outside battle.

Note: Some spells can be used on multiple targets at once. To do this, select the spell, then press ⇧ (for enemies) or ⇩ (for allies).

White magic spells can restore the HP of allies, heal status ailments and revive them.

EXIT	Escape from towers, dungeons, etc or make enemies disappear.
CURE	Recover the HP of your character(s).
HEAL	Heal a character’s status ailments.
LIFE	Completely recover the health of a character even when fallen; in a battle it will also recover most status ailments.

Black magic is effective in dealing damage to enemies.

QUAKE	Deal earth damage to all enemies.
BLIZZARD	Shower enemies in a freezing blizzard.
FIRE	Raze enemies with blazing flames.
AERO	Encircle enemies in a swirling tornado.

Wizard magic deals devastating damage to enemies, and so you are limited the most in your amount of uses of it.

THUNDER	Cast bolts of lightning at enemies.
WHITE	Shower all enemies with purifying energy.
METEOR	Drop fiery meteors on all enemies.
FLARE	Trap all enemies in a red-hot solar flare.
