Move your party around the world map screen with , and press / to enter an area. The red flashing arrows show where you can go, while grey arrows indicate directions that you cannot take yet.

Press to change to a scrolling view, where you can use to scroll around the entire world map. Press again to return to normal view.

There are a number of battlefields on the world map, each containing a 10-round series of battles. Battles are fought one round at a time, and there is no obligation to fight all 10 rounds at once. The round count will not reset.

Stand on a battlefield and press / to initiate battle. You will then fight the current round of the battlefield. When the battlefield is cleared, you will gain a bonus prize – usually experience or a rare item.

Note: Round numbers count down from 10 to 0.
