Passage of Time
Link’s adventure begins in Termina, a strange, parallel world that is similar to and yet different from the land of Hyrule. In this land, the moon threatens to fall from the heavens and crash just three days from the start of your adventure. Before the end of the third day, it’s up to you to explore dungeons, solve puzzles and do everything you can to prevent the moon from falling. If the deadline passes, all is lost. However daunting this quest might be, you have one great advantage: using Link’s Ocarina of Time, you have the ability to travel back in time.

About the Passage of Time
Time in the world of Termina flows faster than you might expect. The hours seem to go by in mere minutes.
Time flows continuously during the game, except during conversations and when you access a subscreen. When 24 hours pass, the day will end. At the end of the third day, the moon will fall from the sky and the game will be over. During your adventure, you will need to use the Ocarina of Time to play the Song of Time, allowing you to travel back in time and return to 6:00 a.m. on the first day. When you travel back in time, you keep major items you’ve collected, but dungeons and conversations will revert back to how they were at the beginning.

When Life Energy Reaches Zero
When you take damage and your Life Energy meter runs out, you will be returned to the entrance of the area where you lost all of your Life Energy. You will restart with only three hearts, regardless of how many Heart Containers you have.
