Basic Play
 When It's Your Turn
When it’s your turn, press to hit the Dice Block. To use an item you have, press . To check the surrounding area, press . If you press , you can check the entire board.
 Looking at the Map Screen
 About Pause
If you press on the map screen, the game will pause and you can check the current number of turns, etc. To return to the map screen, press . Also, if you press while the game is paused, you can change the settings below.
Control Settings This allows you to switch the character control between the player and the computer or change the strength of the computer.
Mini-Game Settings This allows you to set whether to display the minigame-explanation screen.
Message Speed This changes the message display speed.
Save Settings When you select Save after Every Turn, game progress is saved at the end of each turn. When you select Save after This Turn, game progress is saved at the end of that turn.
Quit Game This ends the game and takes you back to the Information Center.
Continue This returns you to the pause menu.
 The Last Five Turns
When you reach the last five turns of the game, Toad appears and announces the current standings, and someone will receive 10 coins. Also, the following rules are added.
  • Blue and Red Spaces are worth double. Gain or lose six coins.
  • When two players land on the same space, a duel minigame occurs.
