
When a game begins, the ball must first be served. Adjust the character’s position using

. When the ball is in midair, press

again to serve it.

Types of Serves

Depending on which button you press to serve the ball, you can use three types of serves.

Topspin Serve |
Press to hit a higher-trajectory serve.
The trajectory appears orange, and the ball will bounce high. |

Slice Serve |
Press to hit a lower-trajectory serve.
The trajectory appears blue, and the ball will not bounce much. |

Flat Serve |
Press and at the same time to hit a serve with more speed.
The trajectory appears pink. |

Note: If you hit a bad serve, it’s called a “fault”. If you hit a bad serve twice, it’s called a “double fault”, and your opponent will get the point. If you hit a good serve and the opponent misses, it’s called a “service ace”. If your serve hits the net but still lands in the service area, it’s called a “let”.
